Best residential proxies: what to look for
4 min read
Residential proxies route traffic through home network IPs: a site sees a regular ISP subscriber, not a server. The word "premium" in a plan name guarantees nothing. Good proxies differ in a few things, and you can check all of them before you pay.
IP cleanliness
Pool cleanliness decides how many requests go through on the first try. A quality filter checks our IPs before issue, and Wiss Proxy has the cleanest IPs among competitors. See how the filter works on the benefits page.
Geo down to ZIP code
Almost every provider lets you pick a country. City, ZIP code and ISP are rarer, and sometimes cost extra.
Our residential proxies target down to ZIP code and ISP, included in the price. You can change the country after purchase in the settings, also at no charge. Coverage: 195+ countries, the full list is on the locations page.
Rotation and sticky sessions
Data collection works best with a new IP on every request. Working inside an account needs one address for the whole session. A good provider gives you both modes on the same package.
Wiss Proxy has 9 rotation intervals, from a new IP on every request to one change a day. A sticky session holds one IP for up to 24 hours. Each package allows up to 5,000 threads, and HTTP and SOCKS5 work with one login.
Price per GB and traffic lifetime
Residential proxies are billed by traffic. Besides the price per gigabyte, check how long a package lasts: if the remainder expires after a month, part of your money is wasted.
With us, traffic never expires, and the price drops with volume:
| Volume | Price per GB |
|---|---|
| from 1 GB | $1.50 |
| from 10 GB | $1.40 |
| from 50 GB | $1.35 |
| from 100 GB | $1.30 |
| from 500 GB | $1.20 |
Need more? We will prepare a custom price for larger volumes. Work out your volume in the calculator on the home page.
Trial and payment
Test proxies with your own software before a large package. Wiss Proxy gives 0.2 GB of residential traffic for free for subscribing to Wiss News, the trial comes from our Telegram bot.
An email is enough to purchase, no passport or selfie needed. You can pay with USDT, TON, BTC, ETH and a dozen more coins, SBP or LZT. The fee is shown before you pay.
